Baby Clinic

Tuesday - 2:00pm - 3:00pm  at The Mount Site.  By Appointment Only.

Please do not attend for Baby vaccinations outside of this clinic, and ensure children are registered before attending.

Smoking Cessation Clinic

Please attend local community pharmacy, alternatively speak with GP

Well Woman Care

Have a health check including breast examination and cervical smear during any surgery. A cervical smear should be performed every 3-5 years.

Family Planning

Family planning advice is available at the surgery. Out of hours contraception is available at the Out-of-Hours Centre by phoning 02890 796220.

Immunisation

Influenza protection is available at special Flu Clinics, which are arranged during the winter months.  If travelling abroad get health protection advice, travel vaccinations, etc. Normally 6 weeks notice is required to be fully immunized. Speak to reception for details. There is a fee for this.

Asthma, Diabetes and Heart Disease Clinics

Patients with these conditions should regularly attend the nurse to be monitored and have a management routine recommended.

Health Management

Advice can be sought on all aspects of health e.g. blood pressure, cholesterol, smoking, drinking and weight related problems. All adults should have annual Blood Pressure checks.  Patients over 75 years should have annual Health checks.

Minor Surgery

Many minor surgery procedures (wart removal, injections, etc) are performed by the doctor or nurse. Contact the nurse for an appointment.

Minor Injury Clinic

The practice nurse will treat minor injuries including; minor lacerations, scalds and burns, minor dislocations, the removal of foreign bodies from skin and eyes, and stabilise injuries  prior to transfer to hospital.
